Brake Lining
Brake Lining
The brake pad is the most important part of the brake system. It is a part that applies pressure to the tires when you press the brake while driving.
Due to the structure of the brake pad, it is in such a way that it passes over the brake disc, and the main function of the brake pad is to slow down or stop by applying force to the brake disc.
Types of Brake Pads
-Organic lining: Although their service life cannot be very long, they have a quieter working structure and environmentally friendly materials.
-Ceramic lining: Prices are slightly higher than others. They work at a low noise level, with no dust or dirt on them.
-Metal Lining: Mostly this model is more preferable. They are very robust and have the power to work when the temperature is high and when they are in harsh conditions.
Failure of the Brake Pad
The most problematic thing about brake pads is the length and shortness of their life. The way you drive the vehicle is linked to its life. If you suddenly accelerate, slow down, or stop too much, the life of your pad will shorten faster. Cars with automatic gears are shorter in terms of life compared to cars with manual gears. The reason for this is that vehicles with automatic gears use the brake more because they set the speed control themselves.
It is very easy to understand that the brake pad is finished. If your brake pedal loosens and starts not to hold, and the sound starts to come out of the wheels when you brake, you should go to the service and replace your brake pads.
