What is Chip Tuning
What is Chip Tuning?
In the new generation, modern engines are driven by the ECU, in other words, the control unit. This happens thanks to an electronic computer known as the brain. The turbo pressure of the engine, how much fuel will be sent, its condition, ignition timing, that is, everything on the engine is controlled through this brain. The first produced version is encoded in a specific way. If you create differences on it, you can get more efficiency.
Why is it not made more efficient in production?
It is a question that is often asked why the production is not more efficient when it can get more efficiency. Factories have conditions that they must comply with. In other words, they cannot offer engines with high or low emission values for sale. If you want to focus on the power part of the vehicle, you should waive fuel consumption a little.
The injection map is made by changing the basis primarily in the spellings. This function, on the other hand, indicates how much fuel and how long it was sent. And this is what the air fuel ratio will be. However, if your vehicle has variable valve timing such as v-tec, more effort can be provided with an intervention against them.
Mostly atmospheric vehicles do not have a turbo, so you may not get a very high efficiency. Small-volume ones take less power compared to large-volume engines. Turbochargers are the main thing that power is gained. To increase the power requires overfeeding. The main change that occurs here is to increase the pressure of the turbo. For example, if your vehicle produces a pressure of 10 psi, you will be able to get more power when it is increased to higher values with the software. There is also a limit to this. The reason is that the fuel you can send, as well as the turbo, has a set limit. But when you increase the turbo pressure, the turbo will heat up more and need lubrication. At the end of the software, if the vehicle is frequently used at high revs, you will damage the turbo and engine after a certain period of time. Otherwise, if used, there will be no harm. In fact, you will have a longer lasting, healthy engine and it will help you save fuel.
