This part, which comes after the turbo, is responsible for filtering the soot contained in the exhaust. The diesel particulate filter may differ depending on the use of the vehicle. When we use the vehicle at medium speeds, the DPF keeps its life longer, while when we use it at low speeds, this situation is different. In other words, since the DPF will fill up faster, the filter will become dysfunctional with those institutions that will accumulate in it.

 

What Happens When the DPF Is Full?

 If the Diesel Particulate Filter expels gases less than it should when it is full, it will create problems for engine health. In fact, according to what is said, in this case, there may even be a possibility that the vehicle may burn out. Even if it does not show such major problems, clogging the diesel particulate filter is risky. It can also lead to respiratory diseases. This, in turn, occurs when exhaust emissions are excreted unfiltered and the particles are inhaled by humans. There is harm to motor health as well as to human health.

How to Clean DPF?

 This DPF, whose structure resembles a honeycomb, after filtering the particles, these particles must be burned. After burning, the filter is cleaned. For this combustion process, the temperature must be very high, that is, the temperature must reach up to 600-700 degrees so that the particles can burn and the interior can continue to remain clean.
